Fremantle And TheGreenShot To Automate Production Carbon Accounting

Automated Carbon Accounting Eliminates Spreadsheets And Delivers Data Across Production Labels At Scale

LONDON – September 24, 2026 – Fremantle, a leading global creator, producer and distributor that delivers premium multi-genre content across 28 territories, is deploying TheGreenShot’s GreenPro software to automate production carbon accounting through a phased rollout across selected creative labels and productions within its global operations.

Rather than treating carbon reporting as a compliance checkbox, Fremantle is integrating carbon data into decision-making across specific creative labels and hundreds of annual productions via the phased rollout. For Fremantle, this marks a shift toward integrating carbon data more directly into the operational infrastructure of productions.

“Sustainability starts long before shows reach audiences,” said Shaunagh Duncan, Fremantle Global Head of Sustainability. “At Fremantle, we recognise the need to transform how we produce content and run our business to put sustainability at the centre of decision-making. GreenPro software is a key part of how we plan to act. By using technology and data, we hope to gain clearer insights and more accurate forecasts, helping production teams to make better-informed decisions about emissions from the outset.”

GreenPro will integrate with Fremantle’s financial systems, extracting data from production invoices (travel, catering, location, transport energy, set construction, etc.) to calculate emissions. This will allow Fremantle to more accurately track progress against its published climate target. Joining forces with Fremantle builds on GreenPro’s previous experience, with the company having processed 81,678 carbon entries across 1,229 projects and calculated 58,878 MTCO2 to date.

“The future of lower-carbon productions isn’t about producing more reports, it’s about giving production teams the right information at the right time to make better decisions,” said Max Hermans, TheGreenShot Founder and Co-CEO. “By embedding carbon intelligence directly into operational workflows, we’re helping global content creators like Fremantle turn sustainability into a genuine competitive advantage, one they can act on in real time, not just report on at year end.”

This partnership supports automated carbon accounting at scale while integrating with existing production workflows. It proves automated and comprehensive accounting at scale is possible without slowing production. This aligns with Fremantle’s published Global Sustainability plan, which includes a goal to automate the measurement of production emissions by 2030, and supports Fremantle’s work to reduce its carbon footprint by 50% versus 2018.
