Is this calculator ADEME-compliant?
It uses the official emission factors from ADEME's Base Carbone and Base Empreinte, as well as those of the US EPA. There is no certification for a calculator: reliability comes from using official factors, with their version, and a transparent method. The detail of the factors is available in the tool.
What is the difference between scopes 1, 2 and 3?
Scope 1 covers your direct emissions, such as gas combustion or fuel for your vehicles. Scope 2 corresponds to the energy you purchase, mainly electricity. Scope 3 covers indirect emissions such as travel, purchases and waste, often the largest share.
Why choose between ADEME and EPA?
Emission factors vary by country. The French electricity mix, for example, is very different from the US mix. Choose ADEME for activity in France and EPA for the United States, to get an estimate consistent with your context.
Is my data stored?
No. The calculation runs directly in your browser. No entered data is stored or transmitted.
Is this result enough for my CSRD reporting?
